A bit of the blues that fell out of me a few weeks back...it doesn't refer to any one person...

Fair Weather Friends
JoAnn Abbott
Oct 26 2012
The weathers lovely and my friends are all around
But I’ve learned the hard way
When it rains they can’t be found
And if I start to cry
Once again I’m high and dry
When we're all laughing at the things I do or say
Everyone’s smiling
It’s a bright and sunny day
But if tears start to fall
Then I can’t find them at all.
Paint on a smile-hide my umbrella
Pretend the storms don’t rage inside
If my mask slips
I’ll be singing accapella
And nobody hears
They all went to hide
Someday I’d like to have some one I can trust
Until that happens
Guess I’ll have to adjust
To this sunny dead end…
Here with my fair-weather friends
Wish my lonely life would end-
Here with my fair-weather friends
