Sometimes I’m just a grandma, sometimes a mom and wife
I live in north Virginia; and have for most my life
Sometimes I’ve been a teacher, in a college or in school
Sometimes I’m a face painting clown, but I am no ones fool
Sometimes I am an artist, I work with paint and clay
I’m always starting new things; it’s how I fill my day
These days I’m into resin, But I’m certain you’ll agree
No matter what I get up to- mostly I’m just me
Mostly I’m just me!

I start more than I finish, true
But mostly I’m just me!
I used to be a soldier, learned how to shoot a gun
Was stationed off in Germany, and had a lot of fun
Sometimes I’ve been a lady in a castle on the Rhine
In fancy dresses which I’ve made
While having a great time
Sometimes I am an actress, performing on a stage
You might have seen me on TV, or else a YouTube page.
I’ve also worked with make up, I do FX you see
I’ve made and been a zombie- but mostly I’m just me

Once there was a small pond
Where I used to play
An island sat within it
A fairy hideaway
A little creek wound through the trees to
Feed it and to flow
A waterfall! So tiny!
Only 2 feet tall!
A wooden bridge made from a plank
Sometimes I thought I’d fall
Once there was a small pond
Where I used to play
I went back to visit it
Upon an Autumns day
The waterfall still splashes
The island is still there
The wooden bridge has gone away
No fairies anywhere
Once there was a small pond
Where I used to play
An island sat within it
